Computer for Beginners

You'll be introduced to the features and uses of computer hardware and software. The course presents an overview of computers and their history, and discusses the various hardware components, operating systems and application software types with which beginning computer users should become familiar. If you know the basics of how to operate a computer and navigate the Internet it is time to go to the next step in learning about your computer. This class will introduce you to file management, advanced internet searches, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel. It will also explain other software that is available and the benefits of each software product. You need only have a basic understanding of computers to enroll.

Adult CPR (CPR): Each attendee will receive professional instruction in administering Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and utilize their skills in scenarios. Using the industry’s advanced training manikins with assistive feedback; each student receives instant confirmation for depth of compression and proper rate. This hands-on advantage results in real personal confidence that we seek to achieve with every student. 2 year certification Automatic External Defibrillator (AED): Each attendee will receive personal hands-on instruction on the operation of your specific AED or any AED in general. 2 year certification Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP): Each attendee will review your own company’s “Written Exposure Control Plan” (provided by you) and practice using PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). This course will include exposure prevention, clean-up of contaminated areas, reporting and importance of seeking medical attention if exposed. 1 year certification (per OSHA) Basic First Aid (BFA): Each attendee will be trained on emergency treatment for a variety of medical emergencies including illnesses and injuries. Scenarios are created to provide the hands-on training that attendees will remember. 2 year certification
